Investigating the various video-sharing sites I came across jumpcut, which aims to create a video remixing culture online.

I liked the song and video-combinations of ‘What are you afraid of?‘ (by West Indian Girl) and ‘Central Valley Dream‘.

Skype protocol

I at one point considered producing a SIP to Skype gateway application, with a view to making it easier for corporations who do not want to let Skype loose on their protected networks to allow employees to interact with external Skype users.

The project faltered on lack of available information on the Skype protocol, but this now seems to have been resolved in a multitude of places. Charlie Paglee has a nice overview.

The future of Financial Services

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s Digital Markets team have created and posted their vision of the future of Financial Services, forecasting an entirely new paradigm from 20th Century status quo.

Interesting points of agreement relate to rise of sports-trading, mergers between traditional exchanges and increased competition in the FS sector driven by disintermediation.
