Project management tools

In once worked for the company which produced the professional project management platform Artemis. In much of my subsequent working life I’ve had to use Microsoft Project for project management, which has always been a frustrating experience after knowing how useful a good tool can be.

I invariably end up using Microsoft Project primarily as a presentation tool to draw Gannt charts and schedule the tasks by hand as the resource-levelling never works as I want it to work.

Open Workbench recently caught my eye, as it a) promises to implement proper resource-based sceduling, and b) is FREE. I will write more once I’ve used it in anger.
